During the CAD2694: 3D Scanning class at FRCC I used a FARO scanner to measure and capture the objects that existed in the CAD Lab at FRCC. After doing that I used SCENE to combine the data from the scans into a .rcp file. I opened the .rcp file in Autodesk ReCap to clean up extreneous datapoints and create a self contained .rcs file. The .rcs file I imported into Revit. Then I modeled multiple objects; some in SolidWorks, others in Revit, and others I included as additional 3D Scans to create the renders and views visualized on this page.
The 3D Scanning room at FRCC is slowly being remodeled so I used the opportunity to explore Revit's design options to be able to create two very similar renders but with desks in different orientations.
I ended up taking the 3D Printing class in the same semester as the 3D Scanning class so I ended up creating a small diaorama with some pieces representing desks, chairs, furniture, and 3D printers to also help with planning the re-organization.
